Penpol Creek

Less than a 3 minute walk from Penpol House, this wildlife rich inlet off the Gannel estuary was once a busy port on the North cost of Cornwall.
It has now silted up with sand and creates a perfect place to paddle board and kayak at high tide.
The low tide footbridge provides a pathway to explore Newquay and it’s many restaurants and shops.

Crantock Beach

The stunning Crantock beach is backed by towering sand dunes with the Gannel to the Northern edge.
The beach provides a huge expanse of sand, rock pools and caves to explore at low tide. See if you can find the lady of Crantock hidden in one of the caves!
During the season you can find the awesome Big Green Surf School on the beach and Cargo Coffee serving up coffees, cakes and the most delicious ice creams.
It is only a 10-15 minute walk along the coastal path or through the village, or a short drive away.

Crantock Village

Just a short walk into the village and you can find a fantastically stocked village shop and Post Office.  As well as two pubs; The Old Albion Inn and The Cornishman,  a tea room and St Carantoc Church.

West Pentire is a further ten minute walk and is home to the famous Poly Joke Poppy fields, CBay Restaurant and Spa, and The Bowgie Inn, which has the best view across Crantock Beach and beyond.
